A Real Colegiada Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Oliveira (The Royal Collegiate Church of Our Lady of the Olive Tree), is classified as a National Monument. The church dates to 950 and was founded by the Countess Mumadona Dias. It was rebuilt at the end of the 14th century by king D. João 1 in recognition of the divine assistance he received at the Battle of Ajubarrota, 14 August 1385.
