This hotel, which incorporates the former Igreja and hospital de São João Marcos, whose remains were brought to Braga by Knights Templar from the Holy Land in the twelfth century, is a lovely four star accommodation. Inside the hotel are several displays meant for edification of its guests, and perhaps to enhance the prestige of the locale. These include mannequins designed and dressed to represent D. Teresa de Leão, aspirational Queen of Portugal, and her son Afonso Henriques, first king of Portugal.
